Line Dance Standards is an organisation born from the experiences of more than fifteen years in the Line Dancing scene.
The goal of the organisation is to vote for exceptional dances that have stood the test of time and can be regarded as Line Dance Standards or if you prefer classics or golden oldies or blasts from the past We have filed the dances within the 5 categories above, sometimes a dance can span 2 categories so it may appear twice. Many dances that have been classified as Intermediate by the choreographer may appear in Advanced if in the opinion of the panel these dances are more difficult than the average Intermediate. To
qualify a dance must be at least 12 months old and must be played and
requested on a regular basis.
- Beginner: True Beginner dances for real novices and learners
- Advanced Beginner: Dances for beginner improvers and many "once a week" dancers
- Lower Intermediate: Dances for serious improvers and more regular dancers
- Intermediate: Mostly dances for experienced Line Dancers
- Advanced Intermediate: Advanced dances and difficult Intermediates
- Climbers: Dances of all difficulty levels that are potential long term favourites
